Call for Expressions of Interest – Resident Directors
Apply by August 1, 2025 for priority review
The Office of International and Off-Campus Education (IOCE), on behalf of the Off-Campus Studies Advisory Committee, is now accepting expressions of interest in the positions of Resident Director for our faculty-led programs in fall 2026 and spring 2027:
Program director’s responsibilities include:
Program participants enroll directly in at least three courses at the host institution and the course taught by the faculty leader for the equivalent of 4 Lafayette credits (15-16 host institution credits). The course taught by the faculty is open but should take advantage of the program’s location and should fulfill at least one CCS requirement.
The Resident Director will receive his/her normal salary, one course release, and a cost of living adjustment (COLA) based on the Department of State’s per diem for incidental expenses for the host city, and will have his or her approved expenses (transportation, housing, and other expenses as specified by the Office of International and Off-Campus Education) covered by the College.
Knowledge of the local language and culture is helpful but not required. Faculty leaders receive significant support from our in-country partners and are therefore not required to have expertise in the local language in non-English speaking countries.
If you would like to apply for this position, please complete the expression of interest form.
Expressions of interest received by August 1, 2025, will be given priority review. The Off-Campus Studies Committee (in collaboration with the Engineering Council in the cases of Bonn and Madrid) will review applications and make recommendations to the Provost, who will appoint the Directors.
