Our mission

  • International and Off-Campus Education at Lafayette College develops, facilitates, and oversees transformational, high-impact, credit-bearing off-campus experiences that represent a diversity of geographical, cultural, and academic interests. IOCE also engages and supports the broader Lafayette community through student-centered advising on and preparation for international opportunities, including programs and scholarships and international risk management services for College-sponsored international travel.
  • IOCE offers student-centered advising, coordinates and executes geographically and thematically diverse faculty-led semester and short-term off-campus programs, manages risk management processes for Lafayette-sponsored international travel, and facilitates opportunities for the Community to participate on a global level. The opportunities provided by IOCE contribute to the College’s mission and values and offer students and the Lafayette community the possibility to develop a global outlook and skill set essential to a liberal arts education and modern life.
